Reinsurance Accounting Manager - Global Reinsurance company | 80,000 - 100,000 euros salary

Excellent role for a Reinsurance Accounting Manager to join a leading (re)insurance group here in Madrid. This role is critical in overseeing all accounting activities related to reinsurance operations. You will work closely with actuarial, underwriting, and legal teams to manage financial processes that support the company's reinsurance strategy.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead and manage all aspects of reinsurance accounting operations.
2. Ensure timely and accurate recording of reinsurance premiums, claims, commissions, and recoverables.
3. Monitor treaty agreements to ensure correct financial implementation and compliance with contractual terms.
4. Coordinate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and streamline accounting processes.
5. Prepare reinsurance financial statements, reports, and reconciliations for both internal stakeholders and external auditors.
6. Support regulatory reporting and Solvency II compliance as needed.
7. Collaborate with cross-functional departments including Actuarial, Underwriting, Legal, and Risk.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master's or CPA/ACA/ACCA is a plus).
2. 5+ years of experience in insurance/reinsurance and experience with managing 2-3 team members.
