The Field Applications Specialist (FAS) for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for providing excellent customer service to clients while installing and maintaining diagnostic instrumentation and systems in hospital and stand-alone laboratory environments.

This position is part of the Customer Care Dx Organization and, as FAS, you will be located in Cataluña supporting our customers in Cataluña and Baleares, impacting directly on patients' health and overall well-being. You will be part of the Field Applications Specialist Team and report to the Field Application (Customer Care) Manager. Your role involves providing frontline support by resolving customer problems through technical, scientific expertise, troubleshooting, training, and verifying the operational performance and data quality of systems. You will help drive revenue growth while ensuring strong customer contract retention and warranty conversion. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Develop and build knowledge of the industry, the company, the products, tools, and the team, supported by a clear Development Pathway program.
  • Be supported by a strong leadership team and involved in key projects to deliver successful installations that meet customer and company requirements.
  • Provide excellent professional support and training to Beckman Coulter’s customers.
  • Maintain customer support logs and internal records promptly, resolving issues to deliver a high-quality Customer Experience.
  • Develop commercial awareness through cross-functional support of the business to increase growth opportunities and demonstrate our pioneering innovation solutions and new products.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • University Scientific degree + minimum 1 year experience in Clinical Laboratory.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English.
  • Ability to interact with customers on a detailed scientific basis to ensure their needs are fulfilled.
  • Ability to travel within the assigned geography, including periodic and overnight travel.
  • Flexibility to work hours as per business needs.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical / Environment Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel within the region to support customers, with overnight stays as needed (up to 50%).
  • Valid driver’s license and a good driving record. Drivers of Beckman Coulter vehicles will follow the Danaher Company Vehicle Policy.

FAS operate independently within their geographic territory but collaborate as a team to share methodologies, mentor, and receive technical support. This role is classified as remote work, provided with a company car, mobile phone, and laptop.

At Beckman Coulter Diagnostics, we believe in designing a sustainable and flexible workforce. This position offers a remote work arrangement, allowing part-time work at the customer location and part from home. Further details will be provided during the interview process.
