Formación

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager to join our team in Guadalajara. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in EHS management, ensuring compliance with all relevant safety, security, environmental, and labor regulations, including NOM-035 and NOM-037.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compliance Management:
    • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal EHS regulations (STPS, SEMARNAT, PROFEPA).
    • Maintain and update EHS policies and procedures in accordance with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and other relevant standards.
    • Oversee compliance with labor norms such as NOM-035 and NOM-037.
  • Safety and Health Programs:
    • Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive safety and health programs.
    • Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.
    • Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Environmental Management:
    • Develop and oversee environmental management programs to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
    • Conduct environmental impact assessments and audits.
    • Implement sustainability initiatives to reduce the environmental footprint of the company.
  • Training and Development:
    • Design and deliver EHS training programs for employees at all levels.
    • Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility within the organization.
    • Coordinate emergency preparedness and response drills.
  • Reporting and Documentation:
    • Maintain accurate records of EHS activities, incidents, and compliance status.
    • Prepare and submit required EHS reports to regulatory agencies.
    • Provide regular updates to senior management on EHS performance and initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
    • Advanced degree or certifications (e.g., CSP, CIH, CHMM) preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Over 5 years of experience in EHS management.
    • Proven track record of managing EHS programs and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of Mexican EHS regulations and standards.
    • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
    • Proficient in English and Spanish, both written and spoken.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
