A vacancy for a Manager Customer, Project and Structured Finance has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space, Getafe (Madrid).
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the development and implementation of customer-oriented and efficient sales financing solutions to secure and enable Airbus Defence and Space (AD) sales along Airbus Group principles and guidelines.
- Development of efficient, innovative, customer-oriented sales financing solutions on a limited or nonrecourse basis via Banking, Financial and Capital markets for Airbus Defence and Space (AD) customers worldwide.
- Identify banks and financial institutions in line with Airbus Group and divisional guidelines as well as established criteria for a potential mandate on deal basis.
- Implementation and negotiation of international financings with customers, banks, lessors, investors and export credit agencies (ECA).
- Securing the maximum governmental support from major ECAs for the AD export sales campaigns and contracts.
- Fostering banks and ECA relationships.
Overall AD targets contribution through :
- Secure and support AD turnover and performance targets, through the implementation of various financing solutions in line with corporate targets.
- Protect AD / Airbus Balance Sheet, by limiting AD / Airbus risk exposure from sales financing.
- Secure AD cash targets through the negotiation of favorable and secured payment terms with the customer, banks, ECAs, private insurances and law firms.
- Boost AD sales by developing innovative financing solutions through co-operations with the external financial community.
- Support the Group Ethics & Compliance process to secure access to ECA coverage.
Job Holder Requirements
- University degree preferably in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Law or Engineering from reputable international or local universities.
- Minimum 10 years experience in a bank, ECA or in similar roles at another corporate.
- Strong commercial acumen.
- Strong interpersonal and (internal) customer management skills: Inter-functional, cross-divisional and international interaction: the AD customer base is widespread in different countries from institutional to commercial. This requires a high degree of flexibility and intercultural adaptation to the different customer profiles.
- Strong team player.
- Specific knowledge: extended knowledge in International Finance or Trade and Export Finance; Asset and Cash-Flow Based Finance; Knowledge of PPP / PFI, concessions and acquisition and project financing structures / contracts would be a plus.
- Fluency in both verbal and written English.
- Availability to travel, when necessary.
