About The Role
Uber's AM&D Business Development team develops and manages strategic partnerships across the autonomous vehicle value chain. This particular role will be focused on understanding the intricacies and requirements stemming from our agreements with AV software providers and OEMs, then designing agreements with qualified fleet operators that align incentives. This role will require close collaboration with the AM&D Fleet Team, Regional BD teams, and many other cross functional stakeholders. Successfully coordinating across these teams will be critical to reaching Uber's AV expansion goals.
Successful candidates will bring a dynamic combination of intellectual rigor and emotional awareness, maturity, an ability to think strategically and execute tactically, and strong interpersonal skills to maximize value in partnership negotiations and contracting. You enjoy building strategy and structure amid ambiguity, you enjoy operating independently while still remaining connected to your team and a broad set of internal partners. Executing complex and multifaceted long-term deals connected to the core of Uber's business requires considered internal alignment; senior executives and cross-functional stakeholders will support your deal strategy and execution because they remain convinced your deals and deal structures are right for the business. Understanding that some prospective partners may also intend to be future competitors, you will be able to advocate internally for a prospective partner's needs and concerns with empathy and an evergreen presumption of positive intent, while also safeguarding Uber's interests and securing future value for the business.
