WebBeds in Palma is seeking a Management Accountant to support accurate financial reporting and maintain reliable accounting records. You will prepare key reconciliations and support monthly reporting activities, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.

You will work closely with financial teams to support audit readiness and improve processes, playing a critical role in timely financial information delivery.

The ideal candidate will have a relevant degree, experience in multi-currency accounting, and strong organizational skills.

Formación

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting or finance.
  • Strong knowledge of balance sheet reconciliations and statutory reporting.
  • Ability to prioritize effectively and meet deadlines.

What you will do on your journey with WebBeds.

As a Management Accountant, you will support accurate financial reporting and control by maintaining reliable accounting records, preparing key reconciliations, and supporting monthly reporting activities. You will play a key role in ensuring assets and liabilities are properly recorded, statutory requirements are met, and financial processes run efficiently.

You will work closely with the Financial Controller and cross-functional teams to support compliance, audit readiness, reporting accuracy, and continuous process improvement. Through strong financial discipline and attention to detail, you will help deliver timely information that supports effective decision-making across the business.

In this role you will:

Key responsibilities

  • Financial reporting: Prepare monthly profit and loss analysis for all entities and support review with the Financial Controller.
  • Journal management: Prepare and post monthly journals including accruals, prepayments, and management fees to ensure accurate financial records.
  • Accruals and expenses: Review and post operating expenditure accruals, ensuring invoices are processed in a timely manner.
  • Compliance and statutory reporting: Ensure timely accrual, payment, and filing of all statutory requirements, including corporate tax and regulatory reporting.
  • VAT management: Prepare, file, and reconcile VAT returns in line with local requirements.
  • Intercompany accounting: Monitor intercompany postings, perform reconciliations, and support intercompany activities including recharges and invoicing.
  • Balance sheet reconciliation: Prepare and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Cost control: Review monthly overheads and ensure costs are accurately allocated to the appropriate business units.
  • Audit coordination: Support internal and external audit processes and respond to audit queries.
  • Process improvement: Continuously review and enhance accounting processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably within an international business environment and multi-currency accounting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
  • Strong numeracy and solid knowledge of accounting principles, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, VAT, and statutory reporting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, with working knowledge of accounting systems such as SunSystems and SAP S/4HANA.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent organisation, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritise effectively, meet deadlines, collaborate across teams, and take ownership of assigned tasks.
  • Working towards or holding a professional accounting qualification such as ACCA is advantageous.
