Job Description
What functions will you do?
- Write and disseminate press kits, pitches, publisher notices, and calendar listings.
- Advise on marketing and advertising copy and provide editing for brand consistency.
- Develop design and artwork in accordance with corporate standards for advertising and hotel collateral.
- Oversee layout and design of ads, collateral, and other projects.
- Propose new and creative ideas/concepts to enhance brand standards.
- Study and prepare layouts, artwork sketches, and related materials.
- Determine appropriate styles, techniques, and mediums to produce desired effects and meet reproduction requirements.
- Formulate concepts and present illustrations and details from models, sketches, or memory.
- Analyze illustrations at various stages and make necessary changes.
- Select type, draw lettering, and design materials.
- Build positive relationships with local media and industry partners.
- Develop and maintain media lists and contact information.
- Maintain an up-to-date photo and video library, including records of media and events.
- Expand the brand's reach through marketing partnerships and non-traditional media.
- Develop proactive marketing and communication plans to achieve results and build brand awareness.
- Identify and develop sponsorship opportunities and partnerships to support brand development.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a related position.
- Degree in Marketing, Communication, Graphic Design, or a related field.
- Experience leading and managing SEO/SEM, database marketing, email, social media, and display advertising campaigns.
- Highly creative with experience targeting audiences and creating engaging digital campaigns.
- Knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
- Working knowledge of ad serving tools.
- Experience with video and image editing software.
- Technical knowledge of web technologies such as HTML, Flash, CSS, and AJAX.
- Proficiency in graphic design and web production software, including Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office, Coral Draw, and Acrobat.
- Understanding of printing processes and specifications for digital and print media.
- Up-to-date with online marketing trends and measurement practices.
- Fluent in Spanish and English; knowledge of additional languages is an asset.
