Could you be the full-time Maintenance Project Engineer Lead (Coordinator) in Madrid we're looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your signaling services experience in a cutting-edge field. You'll work alongside young and proactive teammates.

You will carry out this assignment based on objectives and priorities established by management, coordinating and managing the correct execution of works in services and maintenance projects, guaranteeing the fulfillment of contractual indices and service quality requirements. Daily, you'll work closely with teams across the business, verify the correct development of contracts, and collaborate with the customer to provide services and solutions, maintaining high standards of maintenance services in the market.

You will specifically be responsible for managing reporting processes to the customer regarding incidents/events, coordinating the team, and supporting the customer technically during incidents/events related to onboard and trackside equipment, applying expert project knowledge.

We look to you for
  • Managing onsite teams during maintenance activities and system repairs or installations.
  • Supporting project design, installation, and test & commissioning functions.
  • Developing contractual maintenance documentation.
  • Describing faults, causes, solutions, and reporting internally and to the customer.
  • Monitoring and analyzing technical problems with technology suppliers and project units, contributing to engineering with maximum technical data on anomalies.
  • Supporting customer monitoring works and system repairs.
  • Controlling software versions of onboard/trackside electronic equipment.
  • Proposing and implementing actions to improve customer satisfaction.
  • Monitoring quality system compliance.
  • Managing obsolescence with suppliers.
  • Following up on repairs.
  • Planning preventive maintenance and team workload.
  • Releasing troubleshooting documents to improve corrective maintenance efficiency.
  • Reporting project status to management.
  • Controlling and reporting financial status of projects.
  • Supporting management and commercial teams on customer-related matters.
All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. We don't expect you to have every skill listed, but some that will help you succeed include:

  • Experience in technical project management.
  • Extensive computer knowledge (Windows, MS Office, MS Project, AutoCAD, SketchUp, SolidWorks, Catia V5, etc.).
  • Team leading skills (negotiation, communication, teamwork, innovative capacity, decision-making).
  • Knowledge of railway projects and clients is valued.
  • Experience in maintenance of railway systems and/or industrial equipment is valued.
  • Experience in international project management with complex interfaces is valued.

The job location will be at any of the centers where maintenance activities are carried out in Madrid projects, depending on service needs. Occasional national/international trips may be required to perform specific tasks or support other ALSTOM units. A valid driving license (Type B) is essential.
