TMA is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for the Marpol Plant at Port of Barcelona to maintain equipment reliability, safety, and environmental standards. Full-time role with a 6-month contract duration, moving to permanent, and rotating day shifts.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years in industrial/mechanical maintenance, vocational training in mechanics or mechatronics, basic electrical, welding, and forklift operation. Spanish and Catalan are required.

Formación

• Vocational training in a technical field related to mechanics or industrial maintenance.
• Basic electricity knowledge.
• Boilerwork and piping (welding) experience is preferred.
• Ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
• Forklift and aerial platform operation competencies.

Responsabilidades

• Spare parts management: identification, coding, and documentation of equipment and resources.
• Preventive maintenance: execution of planned tasks to ensure availability and reliability.
• Corrective maintenance: troubleshoot and recover operability after breakdowns.
• Continuous improvement: analyze resources and propose improvements to enhance OEE.
• Work reporting: document interventions for maintenance management and supervisor.

Workplace

Marpol Plant, Port of Barcelona.

Contract Duration

6 Months + Permanent.

Responsibilities

• Spare parts management: Identification, coding, and documentation of all equipment, machines, tools, and resources in the section.
• Preventive maintenance: Execution and management of planned maintenance tasks, ensuring equipment availability and reliability.
• Corrective maintenance: Troubleshooting and resolving breakdowns, ensuring quick recovery of operability.
• Continuous improvement: Analysis of production resources and proposal of improvements in machines, tools, and processes to contribute to the section’s OEE.
• Work reporting: Recording and reporting interventions to the maintenance management and section supervisor

Schedule

Full-time.

Monthly rotating shifts: 6h–14h / 14h–22h / 8h–17h.

Education

• Vocational Training (Intermediate or Higher Level) in a technical field (mechanics, industrial maintenance, mechatronics…).
• Basic electricity.
• Boilerwork and piping (welding).
• Technical drawing interpretation.
• Forklift and aerial platform operation.

Industry Experience

Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial or mechanical maintenance.

Languages

Spanish and Catalan.
