Aurora is an established supplier of skilled manpower to its clients, and we are now seeking a highly skilled Remote Sites Engineer to join the L2 / L3 maintenance team within the Galileo ground segment. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance of TTCF, ULS, and GSS stations, with a strong background in GNSS systems, satellite communication systems, and ground segment stations.

Specific Tasks
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on TTCF, ULS, and GSS remote-site equipment.
- Ensure proper functioning of ground segment stations and resolve technical issues.
- Utilize Linux systems (Red Hat-based, Suse) for maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Manage RPM packages for software development and deployment.
- Work with antennas and RF subsystems as an AIVQ engineer.
- Conduct RF measurements using spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and oscilloscopes.
- Follow laboratory testing procedures to ensure accurate and reliable results.
- Provide on-site technical guidance to local maintenance teams and subcontractors.
- Coordinate logistics for site visits, including tools, spare parts, and resources.
- Collaborate with team members to support maintenance activities and improve system performance.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, system modifications, and software updates.
- Work in field environments (Galileo Remote stations), conducting on-site testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance activities.
- Hold a university degree (preferably Master) in relevant disciplines.
- Have 2-5 years of professional experience in a relevant field, preferably in aerospace or satellite industry.
- Possess a general background in GNSS systems and Galileo.
- Understand satellite communication systems, with proven experience in ground segment stations.
- Experience with Linux systems (Red Hat-based, Suse).
- Knowledge of RPM package management for software development.
- Experience with antennas and RF subsystems as an AIVQ engineer.
- Proficiency with RF measurement tools (spectrum analyzer, signal generator, oscilloscope) and laboratory testing procedures.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
Legal and Security Requirements
- Legal right to work in Spain without a visa; only EU, EEA, and Swiss citizens are eligible.
- Must provide a copy of passport and degree certificate, with degree validation by the university.
- Must provide a recent official document declaring good conduct, validated by Aurora.
Location
The work will be performed at DLR's recently inaugurated second location in Madrid, Spain, to support their Remote Sites team.
