Job summary

Horse Powertrain is seeking an experienced Intellectual Property lawyer to join our Madrid-based team. You will lead industrial IP negotiations, draft and maintain IP agreements and support R&D collaborations across global partners.

The role requires a Law degree, a Master’s in Intellectual Property Law, and European Bar affiliation, with strong drafting, negotiation and project management skills in a fast-paced, international environment.

Qualifications

• Proven IP law expertise, patents and utility models preferred.
• Experience in international commercial negotiations.
• Excellent drafting and negotiating of commercial agreements.
• Strong project management and strategic problem-solving.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Manage legal negotiations concerning industrial and intellectual property matters.
• Draft and maintain NDAs, IP licences, R&D, joint development and technology agreements.
• Advise on patents, utility models, trademarks, copyright and other IP matters.
• Draft patent applications, utility models and employee invention disclosures.
• Conduct patent searches and prepare Freedom to Operate reports for new inventions.
• Manage IP risks, litigation, registration and enforcement activities.
• Coordinate external law firms and maintain strategic relationships with outside counsel.
• Develop IP policies and support the management of IP as a core company asset.
