Develop fit-for-purpose AIML models, algorithms, and processes to address pharma and healthcare applications, as well as innovative products. This includes creating prototypes, building production-grade algorithms and automation engines for client deliverables, testing viability, and delivering final products. The role requires quickly translating research ideas into large-scale solutions and managing products from post-prototype to client delivery.

Essential Functions

1. Support the development of generative AI solutions in the life sciences domain.
2. Fine-tune pretrained foundation models and assist stakeholders with analysis and implementation.
3. Transform machine learning research and domain expertise in human data into viable prototypes.
4. Develop features of models on projects or products with guidance from others.
5. Collaborate with Machine Learning Engineers and Research Scientists to understand and create new algorithms.
6. Build and train production-grade algorithms capable of learning from complex, high-dimensional data to uncover patterns for model development.
7. Improve performance of NLP and machine learning algorithms using various techniques.
8. Test and validate models for deployment viability with support from team members.
9. Consult with internal and external clients to implement solutions, develop innovations, and ensure successful AI project delivery.

Qualifications

1. Minimum of 2 years of experience in creating machine learning algorithms.
2. Strong engineering problem-solving skills.
3. Extensive programming experience in Python.
4. Experience with large real-world datasets.
5. Master's degree in Machine Learning, Statistics, Computer Science, Physics, Math, or related fields.
6. Good commercial awareness, business judgment, and interest in healthcare.
7. Strong project management, time management, and organizational skills; ability to collaborate with business owners to ask the right questions.
