The Instituto de Investigación Biosanitaria de Granada (ibs.GRANADA) is seeking outstanding postdoctoral researchers interested in applying for the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship (MSCA-PF) in collaboration with our Maternal-Fetal Health and Elastography Research Group.

MSCA PF 2025 call opens on May 8, 2025, and closes on September 10, 2025.

Who we are:
ibs.GRANADA, managed by the Public Foundation for Biosanitary Research of Eastern Andalusia - Alejandro Otero (FIBAO), is a collaboration between the University of Granada and the University Hospitals of Granada, serving as reference centers of the Andalusian Public Health System in Granada (Andalusia), for both Primary Care and Hospital Care.

The Andalusian Public Health System (APHS) provides healthcare to 8.4 million inhabitants of Andalusia, aiming for high-quality public healthcare, accessibility, user satisfaction, efficiency, and optimal resource use.

70 research groups at iBS.Granada cover four areas of expertise:
- Oncology
- Epidemiology and Public Health
- Precision Medicine
- Advanced Therapies and Biomedical Technologies

The Department of Fetal Medicine at the Hospital Universitario Clínico San Cecilio comprises professionals from various women’s health disciplines. This team of over 100 professionals works collaboratively to promote women’s sexual and reproductive health, equipped with advanced facilities and technology aligned with current scientific and technological advancements.

The secondment group is part of the TEC12-Maternal Fetal Health and Elastography research group at IBS Granada, focusing on Advanced Therapies and Biometric Technologies. This translational team includes physicians, scientists, and bioengineers, with significant funding and research output, including patents, publications, and clinical trials related to obstetric pathologies and preterm birth prevention.

Research highlights include participation in multiple clinical trials, notably the ASPRE trial for pre-eclampsia screening and prevention, and ongoing trials in twin pregnancies. The group's research priorities include maternal-fetal health and elastography, focusing on tissue microarchitecture changes during pregnancy.

The candidate researcher should have:

  • Basic training in Medicine, Health Sciences, or Biomedicine.
  • Advanced training with a PhD in Health Sciences, proficiency in English, scientific writing, and advanced statistics applied to health sciences.
  • Interest in project development related to pregnancy health and women's health.
