Overview
I am currently seeking a Procurement & Logistics Manager to join my clients operations team. This role offers the chance to manage and optimise end-to-end supply chain activities, from international inbound shipments and warehousing to outbound distribution across multiple markets.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and maintaining efficient logistics processes, accurate inventory management, and timely shipment planning. You will collaborate closely with suppliers, logistics partners, and project teams to ensure seamless operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage international inbound shipments, ensuring timely customs clearance and delivery to regional warehouses.
- Oversee outbound logistics, working with freight forwarders, 3PL providers, and transport partners.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, including spare parts and demonstration units, across multiple warehouse locations.
- Design, implement, and optimise procurement and logistics processes to improve efficiency and scalability.
- Liaise with global suppliers to track lead times, forecast stock requirements, and plan shipments.
- Serve as the main point of contact for logistics and warehouse partners, ensuring service levels are maintained.
- Support project and product rollouts by aligning logistics timelines with operational and customer needs.
- Ensure all shipments comply with trade regulations, customs requirements, and relevant documentation standards.
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience in procurement, logistics, or supply chain management, ideally in a manufacturing, technical or engineering-related environment.
- Strong understanding of international shipping, customs processes, and Incoterms.
- Experience managing 3PL partners, warehouses, and freight forwarders.
- Proficiency in inventory management systems (ERP, WMS, or similar).
- Process-oriented with the ability to design and implement clear procedures.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, working across multiple regions.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to forecast demand and manage lead times effectively.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
