EU - Spain : Marketing Manager

About the role :

STERRY Limited is looking for a Marketing Manager focusing on Europe (particularly Germany, France, Spain, and Italy) in a remote setup, with essential qualifications and skills to manage diverse markets and work across various cultures.

Qualifications :
  1. Educational Background

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field. A Master's degree (optional) in International Marketing, Digital Marketing, or Business Administration could be an advantage.

  1. Experience

Proven experience in marketing management, particularly in a digital marketing agency environment. Experience in international markets or with clients in Germany, France, Spain, Italy, or Europe. Understanding cultural nuances is crucial. Experience working in a remote or distributed team is highly desirable. Track record of campaign success across various marketing channels within the European context. Project management experience managing multi-channel, multi-market campaigns simultaneously.

  1. Language Skills

Fluency in English is essential. Fluency or advanced proficiency in German, French, Spanish, or Italian is highly advantageous, depending on the focus regions. Understanding local marketing and consumer trends in these countries will be a significant plus.

  1. Technical & Digital Marketing Skills

Proficiency with digital marketing strategies and tools like SEO, SEM (Google Ads), content marketing, social media, affiliate marketing, and influencer marketing. Experience with marketing automation tools (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo, Mailchimp). Familiarity with analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, SEMrush, Tableau). Content creation and strategy skills, understanding content performance across European markets.

  1. Cultural Understanding

Deep understanding of local consumer behavior in Germany, France, Spain, Italy. Ability to tailor strategies to each market. Sensitivity to local regulations around data protection (GDPR) and advertising standards. Ability to localize marketing campaigns in language, imagery, tone, and channel selection.

  1. Leadership & Communication Skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Leadership qualities to manage, inspire, and mentor remote teams. Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams in a remote environment.

  1. Strategy & Analytical Skills

Strategic thinking to design and implement marketing strategies. Strong analytical skills to interpret data and optimize campaigns. Budget management experience.

  1. Adaptability & Flexibility

Ability to work across time zones, adapt to team and client needs. Comfort with ambiguity and pivoting strategies in a dynamic environment.

  1. Client Relationship Management

Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships. Experience in client presentations and reporting. Proactive communication and strategic recommendations.

  1. Tools and Platforms Proficiency

Familiarity with CRM platforms (Salesforce, Pipedrive). Knowledge of ad management platforms (Google Ads, Facebook Ads Manager, LinkedIn Ads).

  1. Professional Certifications (Optional, but valuable)

Certifications such as Google Ads and Analytics, HubSpot Inbound Marketing, Facebook Blueprint, PPC or SEO certifications from SEMrush or Moz.

  1. Soft Skills

Problem-solving, time management, self-discipline, proactive and entrepreneurial mindset.

  1. Other Qualifications

Familiarity with e-commerce platforms (Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento). Understanding B2B marketing and ABM strategies. A network of local partners or influencers in target markets could be valuable.
