Duties

Local Coordinator (Independent Contractor)

What You’ll Do as a Local Coordinator :

• Recruit and support host families interested in welcoming an international student.
• Guide families through the approval process and provide orientations.
• Serve as a mentor for students and host families throughout the school year.
• Build relationships with local high schools to facilitate student placements.
• Encourage student engagement through volunteer activities.

Who We’re Looking For :

• Passionate about cultural exchange and community-building.
• Skilled at networking and relationship-building.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated.
• Experienced in mentoring youth (a plus!).

Department: J-1 High School Programs

Start Date: Immediately

Location: Remote / Work from Home (occasional local travel required)

Compensation: Competitive placement payments + potential for generous bonuses and travel perks.

Qualifications

Requirements : Must pass a criminal background check. Reliable internet access and home office setup. Completion of a Department of State certification test (Greenheart provides training).
