European Tech Recruit is seeking a Mid/Senior LLM Engineer in Donostia/San Sebastián for a hybrid role within a leading Quantum Software scale-up. You will design and innovate techniques to improve LLMs and fine-tune Transformers for exceptional performance. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in AI, experience with deep learning, and be proficient in relevant tools.

This role offers an indefinite contract, full visa sponsorship, flexible hours, and private health insurance.

Formación

• 2+ years experience hands-on with Transformer models and deep learning.
• 5+ years for Senior including Computer Vision experience.
• Strong understanding of GPU architectures and AWS cloud deployment.

Responsabilidades

LLM Engineer (Mid & Senior Levels) | AI / Quantum Computing Scale-up

Location: San Sebastian, Spain (Hybrid)

We are looking engineers who don't just "use" LLMs, but understand how to strip them down, compress them, and optimise them for world-class performance.

The Role

• Innovate: Design new techniques to compress Large Language Models using quantum-inspired technologies.
• Scale: Fine-tune and optimise Transformers for enhanced accuracy, robustness, and efficiency.
• Architect: Evaluate GPU architectures and deploy high-performance AI solutions in cloud and HPC environments.
• Lead: Act as a domain expert, mentoring junior talent and contributing to cutting-edge research.

Technical Requirements

• Education: MSc or PhD in AI, CS, or a related quantitative field.
• Experience (Mid): 2+ years hands-on with Transformer models and deep learning.
• Experience (Senior): 5+ years, including experience with Computer Vision or broader Deep Learning.
• Tooling: Expert Python, PyTorch, HuggingFace (Transformers/Accelerate), and Docker.
• Systems: Strong understanding of GPU architectures and AWS cloud deployment.
• Soft Skills: Fluent English; ability to communicate complex technical concepts to global stakeholders.

Preferred Extras

• Research publications in Deep Learning.
• Experience with Inference/Deployment (TensorRT, vLLM).
• Building and evaluating RAG systems or non-LLM DL applications (Audio/Signal Processing).
