Senior QA Manager – Software Quality Assurance / Test Development

We're partnered with a fast-growing fabless semiconductor company focused on the design and manufacture of highly integrated radio frequency, analog, digital, and mixed-signal integrated circuits. They need a Senior QA Manager to join the team, working predominantly onsite (1-2 days per week from home).

This is a permanent role, based in Valencia, Spain.

In this role, you will be responsible for defining and implementing QA strategies, test plans, and test automation frameworks for embedded and application-level software. You will lead a team of QA engineers, providing mentorship, performance feedback, and career development.

You will collaborate closely with development, product, and hardware teams to ensure quality is embedded throughout the software lifecycle. You will drive test coverage across integration, system, and regression levels, and oversee the test lab setup, maintenance, and integration within our CI system to support automated and manual testing.

We are looking for candidates with :

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• 10+ years of experience in software QA or embedded systems testing
• 5+ years in a leadership or management role within QA or software engineering
• Proven track record of building and scaling QA teams
• Strong experience in QA methodologies, test planning, and automation
• Proficiency in Python or scripting languages for test automation
• Experience with test frameworks (e.g., PyTest, Robot Framework, Jenkins)
• Ability to understand automation architecture and contribute to it
• Familiarity with embedded systems, device drivers, and hardware interfaces (I2C, SPI, UART, etc.)
• Solid understanding of RTOS environments and multi-core systems
• Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills
• Strong leadership, organizational, and project management skills
• Effective English communication skills, both written and verbal
• Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments

Desirable additional experience includes :

Experience in telecom, wireless, or embedded product development

Familiarity with Linux / Windows driver testing
