Allianz Commercial in Madrid is seeking an Underwriter Liability (m/f) to lead the development and execution of the liability risk strategy for the Spain market. You will work with regional teams, support key targets and serve as the contact for agents and brokers.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of liability underwriting experience, degree in Law or Economics, fluent English and Spanish, and strong risk and pricing skills.

Formación

• Degree in Law or Economics or other appropriate discipline.
• At least 3 to 5 years' proven experience in underwriting profitable Liability business for corporate clients.
• Ideally, experienced in PI / D&O / Cyber Risks / Legal Expenses as well as in Multinational Clients/Programs.
• Expertise in risk assessment and a firm understanding of policy administration life cycle.
• Sound knowledge of pricing, together with strong market analysis skills.
• Ideally, experience in designing, developing, and implementing consistent and robust wordings.
• Ideally, experience in driving underwriting projects.
• Solid leadership skills and an entrepreneurial mindset.
• Strong communication skills.
• Data analytics skills.
• Ability to work in an international matrix organization.
• Fluent English and Spanish language skills.
• Very good knowledge in Office 365 and other collaborative tools, with a willingness to learn and explore how AI can enhance your role and the broader organization.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure underwriters comply with underwriting authority, pricing and rating guidelines.
• Steer and control the portfolio at local level in conjunction with the Head of Liability to drive the achievement of financial targets.
• Proactively liaise with functional areas to review performance of end to end underwriting life cycle.
• Work closely with Sales departments, Risk Consulting, Claims and other product lines to achieve key marketing strategies, including cross-selling.
• Ensure underwriting consistency and underwriting discipline and adherence to all corporate guidelines and authority levels, including Rules and Principles, Underwriting Authorities, corporate governance rules and local regulatory framework.
• Proactively support the development and implementation of new and/or modified products.
• Support the acquisition of new business and retention of existing business (including agent and broker negotiations).
• Communicate local business strategy externally.
