We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our team, the core strategic projects of the Deutsche Telekom AG. The cross-functional team works closely with the development teams on their journey to DevOps. In our team, we aim for automation and slick solutions to provide a modern and stable runtime stack. In our culture we strive to create a start-up atmosphere in the enterprise.

We are working within a lean and automated approach using modern technologies and methods like GitOps, Infrastructure-as-a-Code on AWS, CI/CD and, of course, Agile. The project language is English.

We are looking for a candidate with a DevOps mindset and familiar with or interested in learning one or more of these technologies:

1. AWS Platform engineering (EC2, EKS, Lambda, Route53, RDS, ..)
2. Containerization, K8s, EKS
3. Automation
4. Infrastructure-as-Code (Pulumi)
5. CI/CD (Gitlab, ArgoCD)
6. Microservice Architecture (APIs)
7. GitOps
8. Scripting (Python, golang, bash, sql, ...)
9. Monitoring (ELK, Kibana, Prometheus, Grafana, ...)
10. Linux, VMs
11. PostgreSQL, Kafka, Redis

What tasks we have:

1. Work in one of our expert groups (Flocks), e.g. API, AWS Platform engineering
2. Ensuring application quality (Prod QA)
3. Technical E2E Incident analysis/troubleshooting
4. Root cause analysis (system + infrastructure errors)
5. Sustainable Operation (SRE experience)
6. Application maintenance & support incl. on-call
7. Disaster recovery and high availability
8. Close collaboration with development teams (Continuous Improvement)
