We are looking for a Legal, Risk & Compliance Administrator to join our growing Legal and Compliance teams. This role is perfect for a proactive and detail-oriented individual with strong Spanish and English communication skills who is passionate about improving processes and contributing to our mission of delivering exceptional, compliant financial services.

This role offers the opportunity to work across various business functions, providing vital support for legal and compliance initiatives, regulatory interactions, and cross-functional projects.

About the role :

As a Legal, Risk & Compliance Administrator, you will play a critical role in supporting the operational and strategic objectives of BVNK’s Legal, Risk and Compliance teams. This position requires a detail-oriented and proactive individual who can manage a diverse range of tasks, from regulatory reporting to governance coordination. You will ensure that all administrative aspects of the legal, risk and compliance functions are handled with precision and efficiency, contributing to BVNK’s mission of maintaining the highest regulatory standards. Your ability to multitask, prioritise, and communicate effectively will ensure the smooth functioning of day-to-day operations.

In this role, you will be expected to take ownership of key responsibilities such as translating and filing regulatory reports, preparing Spanish-language documentation for onboarding, and supporting legal inquiries and contract management. You will coordinate governance forums and committees, handling everything from meeting scheduling and minute-taking to action tracking and report compilation. Additionally, you’ll be the administrator of BVNK’s risk management tool, ensuring that business users have the access and functionality they need to effectively manage their risks and controls.

Success in this role requires exceptional organisational skills, a high degree of accuracy, and a passion for continuous improvement. You will need to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration. Whether managing time-sensitive regulatory filings or identifying ways to enhance existing processes, you will thrive in a fast-paced environment that values autonomy, problem-solving, and teamwork. This is a dynamic and impactful position where your contributions will directly influence the success of BVNK’s legal, risk and compliance functions.

Your responsibilities will include :

• Administering BVNK’s risk management tool, supporting the implementation plan and developing dashboard reporting. Acting as administrator of the tool, managing access and reporting;
• Translating and filing Spanish regulatory reports with external regulatory bodies, ensuring accuracy and timeliness;
• Assisting with the translation and interpretation of Spanish documentation for prospective customers at the onboarding stage, ensuring materials meet compliance and regulatory standards;
• Supporting Spanish legal enquiries and assisting with drafting, reviewing, and managing customer contracts;
• Coordinating group governance forums and committees, including :
• Minute-taking
• Meeting scheduling and management
• Preparation and distribution of committee packs
• Report compilation
• Action item tracking and follow-up
• Undertaking ad hoc legal, risk and compliance administrative tasks to support the department’s goals;
• Providing training on legal, risk and compliance governance processes, including use of the risk management tool.
• Continuously seeking opportunities to streamline workflows, improve efficiency, and enhance team performance.

We’d love to hear from you if you :

• Are fluent in written and spoken Spanish and English, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and professionally;
• Have experience in a compliance, risk or legal setting (preferred but not essential);
• Have experience in administering a third party legal, risk or compliance tool;
• Are an excellent communicator, comfortable liaising with regulators, law enforcement, external counsel, and senior stakeholders;
• Are highly organised, with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively;
• Are a self-starter and problem-solver, who thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic environment;
• Are passionate about improving operational efficiency and finding smarter ways of working;
• Naturally collaborate with others to achieve shared objectives and enjoy being part of a high-performing team; and
• You’re happy working with a high degree of autonomy and managing evolving priorities to deliver against team and company objectives.

What success looks like in this role :

• Regulatory reports are filed on time and to the highest standard, with no errors;
• Spanish-language documentation is consistently accurate and aligns with BVNK’s regulatory and compliance requirements;
• Governance forums and committees run smoothly and to the expectations of the board of directors, with all actions and deliverables tracked and delivered effectively;
• The risk management tool is embedded and reporting meets stakeholder needs;
• Ad hoc tasks are completed to a high standard and at speed, contributing to the success of the Legal, Risk and Compliance teams;
• Living and breathing continuous improvement, leading to meaningful and measurable efficiency gains; and
• Operational processes and workflows are continuously improved, delivering measurable efficiency gains.
