Formación

About the role

To provide legal advice to ensure continuing commercial success of this business across all business units in the organization. Providing legal expertise to commercial decision making to ensure compliance with relevant legislation. Supporting processes and procedures for the efficient provision of legal services and to mitigate risks. Reporting to the Head of Legal and Compliance in Australia and supporting the organization within the bounds of the Group's business model, corporate governance and related policies. Will primarily consist of negotiating / managing contractual terms with suppliers and large enterprise or government customers and advising on GDPR compliance.

This is a 12-month contract role to cover Maternity leave.

Responsibilities

  • Timely contract reviews and negotiations for the Soprano Group in Europe and LATAM, including :

Customer service agreements (Managed Service Telecom Providers and direct SAAS)

Supplier agreements (carriers, aggregators and technology providers)

NDA’s, Data Processing Addendums and Data Transfer Agreements.

Consulting services agreements

Marketing and advertising material and contract

  • Drafting and negotiating non-standard customer arrangements that minimize the company’s exposure to legal and commercial risk.
  • Assisting sales team with the responses to legal and regulatory questions as part of RFTs and customer surveys.
  • Providing timely, business-focused and proactive advice on a broad range of legal, regulatory and contractual issues, such as intellectual property, telecoms and privacy law.
  • Providing legal input into the development of new products or customer offerings, including the development of new service terms and policies.
  • Managing litigation and advising on claims, including labour claims with external support.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement of processes, policies and precedents
  • Managing outsourced legal services, e.g. for litigation or labour disputes, including collecting information for the consideration of external lawyers.
  • Oversee corporate management of the legal entities and delegations of PoAs in the assigned regions with external support.
  • Be the go-to person in the legal department with respect to international privacy matters including GDPR compliance with the support of an external DPO.
  • Advise the business on employment law, corporate, finance, strategic initiatives, and ad hoc matters as required.

Soprano may from time to time or assign you additional duties and responsibilities.

Requirement :

  • At least 5+ years’ post qualified experience as a lawyer in a European jurisdiction and with working in top tier law firm and relevant in-house experience
  • Sound judgment and excellent communication
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills : Speak fluent English and Spanish
  • Experience in managing competing demands, multitasking, ability to work under strong pressure, Strong negotiation skills, persuasive, solution maker.
  • Creative problem solver who remains calm under pressure and who can effectively prioritize
  • Full working rights in Spain
