Formación

  • 3-5 years of experience in a law firm or in-house legal role, particularly in Real Estate.
  • Fluent in English; Portuguese is a plus.

The Corporate Counsel will provide corporate, commercial, and transactional legal support to Cushman & Wakefield's skill lines and corporate functions with a primary focus on the Iberian business (managing contractual risks and litigation), working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

With proven legal experience from relevant private practice and / or in-house environments, the successful candidate will be a strategic thinker who can provide technical legal advice to efficiently and effectively support the business and serve as a counselor and partner to key business stakeholders.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Draft, negotiate, and manage contracts for Owner & Occupier Services and Brokerage & Capital Markets (and potentially other jurisdictions) in Iberia.
  2. Support with the effective management and coordination of disputes and litigation matters in Spain and Portugal and advise on corporate secretarial matters.
  3. Develop and implement processes to enhance efficiency and mitigate contractual risks.
  4. Advise senior leadership on legal and regulatory matters.
  5. Research and stay updated on industry-related laws and regulations.
  6. Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements and Key Skills:

  1. Experience: 3-5 years in a law firm or in-house legal role. / Real Estate
  2. Languages: Fluent English (Portuguese is a plus).
  3. Specific Knowledge: Contract negotiation in architectural design and construction.
  4. Skills: Client-focused approach, analytical thinking, organization, communication, strategic problem-solving, and collaboration.
