Formación

  • 8+ años de experiencia en el departamento legal de una multinacional energética.
  • Fluidez en inglés comercial y otros idiomas valorados.

Descripción del empleo

For our new Energy business unit, we are looking for a Legal Counsel experienced in the construction of renewable energy projects, who will join the Legal Department reporting to the Head of Legal, Energy Spain.

The position will be based in Madrid.

Responsibilities:

  • Drafting and review of renewable energy project contracts (EPC, O&M, Asset Management, PPAs, lease agreements, supply & service agreements).
  • Negotiation, mediation, and settlement of disputes between contractors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Litigation and claims related to energy project contracts.
  • Collaboration with the legal team to provide advice in relation to M&A transactions.
  • Legal advice to ensure compliance with legal requirements and internal policies.
  • Management of relationship with external advisers.

Education and experience:

  • Law degree. Admission to practice in Spain is required.
  • 8+ years of experience in the legal department of an energy multinational company. Experience in a top tier law firm will be valued.
  • Multijurisdictional experience, including US law, will be valued.
  • Fluent in business English. Other languages will also be valued.

Professional Qualities:

  • Effectively manage tasks and deadlines independently.
  • Ability to interact with colleagues in a self-managed team structure.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, decision-making, project management, and negotiating skills.
  • Computer proficiency in Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
