The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of experience in a top-tier firm, preferably in tech or e-commerce, and must have excellent English communication skills. This is a fully remote role based in Spain.

Formación

• Must have at least 6+ years of PQE as a qualified lawyer.
• Experience in tech or e-commerce sectors preferred.
• Fluent English communication skills required.

Soda has partnered with a company transforming the sports industry with the first Super App that combines tech, commerce, and fan engagement!

They’re on the lookout for a Legal Counsel to join their team!

Role: Legal Counsel

Location: Must be in Spain - BUT Fully Remote Role!

What you will be doing:

1. Ensure compliance with global consumer and privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), and maintain up-to-date consumer-facing terms, policies, and data protection practices.
2. Manage IP matters including trademarks and copyrights, while supporting brand strategy and related agreements.
3. Oversee platform compliance, seller onboarding, and transparency obligations; support corporate structuring and governance documentation.
4. Collaborate cross-functionally to provide risk-aware legal guidance, manage pre-litigation issues, and monitor regulatory developments in digital commerce.

What We’re Looking For:

• 6+ years PQE as a qualified lawyer, ideally with top-tier firm and in-house tech or e-commerce experience.
• Deep expertise in commercial, consumer protection, and data privacy law, with a strong grasp of marketplace, payment, loyalty, and subscription regulations.
• Business-minded, proactive, and adaptable—thrives in fast-paced, remote environments with fluent English communication skills.
