What’s the opportunity?

The position is for a commercial legal counsel who will work with the contracts team while also supporting the wider business in various commercial and legal matters.

What will I be doing?

• Providing legal advice on contractual matters for the Group entities worldwide.
• Engaging in drafting, analysis, and negotiation of commercial agreements, engagement letters, services agreements, NDAs, novation agreements, guarantees, loans, derivatives agreements, shareholders agreements, and other relevant documents.
• Collaborating with legal team members across our global organization and working with senior stakeholders on strategic projects, regulatory issues, product and business development, and operational matters.
• Developing and advising on templates, policies, and procedures to meet new legal requirements.
• Drafting, reviewing, and managing legal documentation related to business operations.

What skills do I need?

• Qualified lawyer with a law degree.
• At least 5 years of post-qualification experience, preferably at a major law firm or in-house within Financial Services or M&A sectors.
• Solid background in commercial, contractual, and corporate law.
• Knowledge of payments, financial services, or fintech is highly desirable.
• Fluent in English with excellent communication skills; proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
• Strong business acumen and ability to collaborate across teams.
• Tech-savvy and familiar with digital legal tools.
• Proactive in identifying legal and business issues, with creative problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and in teams across different regions and time zones.
