What’s the opportunity?

The position is for a commercial legal counsel who will work with the contracts team while also supporting the wider business in various commercial and legal matters.

What will I be doing?

• Providing legal advice on contractual matters for the Group entities worldwide.
• Working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with exposure to senior stakeholders.
• Drafting, analyzing, and negotiating commercial agreements, engagement letters, services agreements, NDAs, novation agreements, guarantees, loans, derivatives agreements, shareholders agreements, and other legal documents.
• Partnering with legal team members across our global organization and collaborating with senior colleagues and functional leaders on strategic projects, regulatory issues, product development, and operational matters.
• Creating and advising on templates, policies, and procedures to meet new legal requirements.
• Drafting, reviewing, and managing legal paperwork related to business operations.

What skills do I need?

• Qualified lawyer with a law degree.
• Minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience, ideally in a major law firm or in-house within Financial Services or M&A sectors.
• Solid experience in commercial, contractual, and corporate law.
• Knowledge of payments, financial services, or fintech is highly desirable.
• Fluent in English; proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
• Strong business-oriented mindset and collaboration skills.
• Tech-savvy with experience using digital and legal technology tools.
• Proactive in identifying legal and business issues.
• Creative problem-solver with attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Team player with the ability to work independently and across time zones.
