About Us : We are a company specialized in distributing and supporting software technology. As part of our expansion into the Spanish and Portuguese markets, we regularly participate in public academic tenders for software licensing. We seek a legal advisor to support our compliance and risk management during the tendering process.

Job Summary : The Legal Advisor will be responsible for reviewing academic and government tender documents in Spain and Portugal to ensure compliance with public procurement laws, GDPR, and software licensing obligations. The advisor will identify risks, propose mitigations, and help ensure that our submissions align with both Spanish and Portuguese regulations and our existing contractual framework with our technology partner.

Key Responsibilities : Review and analyze tender documents from Spanish and Portuguese universities and public agencies. Assess legal compliance requirements including eligibility, subcontracting, and documentation. Identify and resolve conflicts between local tender terms and vendor SLA or our standard practices. Ensure adherence to data protection regulations, especially GDPR. Draft legal declarations, board resolutions, and letters of compliance. Advise on the implications of governing law, jurisdiction, and dispute resolution clauses. Support registration with relevant procurement bodies (e.g., ROLECE). Liaise with our teams to ensure coordinated responses.

Qualifications : Degree in Law, preferably with a specialization in Public Procurement, Commercial Law, or Technology Law. Proven experience advising on Spanish and Portuguese public tenders (preferably in the academic or IT sector). Knowledge of GDPR and its implications for international companies. Fluent in Spanish and English. Any additional languages are a plus, particularly Portuguese and / or Italian. Experience with software license agreements is an asset.

Preferred Skills : Detail-oriented with excellent risk assessment capabilities. Strong legal drafting and communication skills. Ability to work independently and under deadlines. Proactive mindset with international business awareness.
