The role, with an important Fintech component, is a key part of the Legal team, managing and advising on risk and legal liability for the group as a Travel Tech Company, to support our growth plans. The position involves assisting the Fintech / Insurtech Team with the setup and implementation of initiatives according to the roadmap, ensuring strategic project development.
Responsibilities include advising the Fintech / Insurtech Team on day-to-day business decisions, reviewing contracts from a commercial and regulatory perspective, and providing preventive legal counsel on requirements. The role also involves monitoring new regulations and assessing their impact on HBX activities, along with providing aligned advice on tax, compliance, HR, and IT security matters.
Key skills required are strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills in English (Spanish is desirable), along with organizational and analytical abilities to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
Experience needed includes working as in-house counsel in a multinational company dealing with Fintech matters, or experience in the Fintech department of a law firm. A law degree from a reputable institution is required, with a Master or specialization in Fintech Law being desirable. Prior experience in Legal Fintech is required, and experience in Data Protection is a plus.
