UVic-UCC is a dynamic university in Central Catalonia, committed to quality teaching, innovative research, and internationalization.

The Faculty of Science, Technology and Engineering is recruiting a Lecturer in Mechanics.

Functions and duties :

The candidate must teach 30 credits in subjects such as "Theory of Machines and Mechanisms" and "Thermal and Fluid Engineering" for Mechatronics Engineering, and "Elasticity and Resistance of Materials", "Vehicle Structures", "Design for Safety and Comfort", "Mathematics", or "Company Internships" for Automotive Engineering. The syllabus should be explained practically and theoretically, aligned with the courses at UVic Automotive Engineering and UVic Mechatronics Engineering.

Qualifications and requirements :

• PhD in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Recognition of foreign qualifications in Spain per Spanish Royal Decree 889 / 2022.
• University teaching experience.
• Proficiency in English (Level C1) with accreditation or commitment to obtain it.
• Knowledge of Catalan (Level C1) or willingness to obtain.

Additional Information

Position in the Teaching and Research staff group (PDI), permanent contract, full-time, with a gross salary of €45,833.55. Work hours are mornings and afternoons, to be determined, across the first and second semesters.

Eligibility criteria

• University-level teaching experience in Mechanics.
• Proficiency B2 or higher in languages other than English.
• Accreditation by an academic Quality Agency.
