Formación

TPI Composites is the leading wind-blade manufacturer and the only independent wind blade manufacturer with a global footprint. We are looking for a motivated Customer Warranty Technical Leader to join our Customer Warranty Management (CWM) Department. The position reports to the Problem-Solving Manager.

Key Objectives

The new Customer Warranty Management (CWM) Department oversees TPI Composite blade products' integrity at customer sites (wind farms) within the warranty period. As our Customer Warranty Technical Leader, you should be an excellent communicator and a recognized technical leader in composites engineering, manufacturing, and problem solving. You should possess direct knowledge of wind blade production processes, including infusion, composite repair, inspection, troubleshooting, failure analysis, root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, and design for manufacturability.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead several warranty technical projects across different products and customers.
  • Act as Technical Project Leader in warranty projects, forming a team of experts from different functions (Engineering, Quality, Factories, CWM Technical Support) and driving all technical steps (Review gates). Escalate deviations and risks.
  • Ensure compliance with internal CWM processes and initiate continuous improvements.
  • Manage technical projects by planning, assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and escalating risks such as resource shortages or technical issues.
  • Validate input and assumptions, questioning technical details as necessary.
  • For complex projects, request support from a Special Warranty Project Manager for planning and resource coordination.
  • Provide regular updates to the customer interface and support communication with the Customer Warranty Relations manager.
  • Escalate complex or strategic communications to the Customer Warranty Relations manager.
  • Collaborate with Field Service Project Managers for wind farm field work planning and execution, ensuring clear documentation and progress reporting.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Engineering required; MSc, MBA, or PhD preferred.
  • At least 10 years of industry experience, with 5+ years in wind blade composites.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred, with a strong problem-solving track record.
  • Proficiency in computer skills and excellent presentation abilities.
  • High attention to quality and detail.
  • Experience working with vendors, customers, and teams.
  • Ability to work in high-performance teams and maintain safety standards.
  • Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing).
