Job summary

Scopely is seeking a Lead UX Designer for Star Trek Fleet Command in Barcelona on a hybrid basis. You will lead UX for a complex 4X live game, translating requirements into intuitive flows and mentoring the design team.

You will collaborate with product teams, game designers, and artists, leveraging data and player feedback to improve UX and ensure long-term consistency across the product.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of leadership in Game UX with experience designing for complex live-service games.
• Experience designing for 4X or strategy games is highly preferred.
• Strong mentorship and leadership capabilities.
• Ability to work with cross-discipline teams and understand practical constraints.

Responsibilities

• Set design standards, best practices, and a strategic UX vision for Star Trek Fleet Command.
• Own and champion complete UX for new features and player experiences.
• Build deep knowledge of the game to design from the player's perspective.
• Create design deliverables: sketches, wireframes, user flows, and prototypes.
• Collaborate with product teams, game designers, and artists to refine ideas.
• Leverage feedback and data to refine designs and drive improvements.
• Support long-term product and UX consistency through established patterns.
