Job summary

Magic Media is seeking a lead Unity game developer to join our client’s project as a senior engineer responsible for guiding a development team. You will own architecture and SDK integration, plan updates with the producer, set up pipelines and telemetry, and mentor peers.

You will take over day-to-day engineering delivery of a cloud-streamed party game, collaborate with Helsinki-based teams, and help shape the post-launch roadmap including asynchronous multiplayer and live ops.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Unity game developer.
• Previous experience as Lead Developer of a team of more than 6 developers.
• Shipped client engineering work on a multiplayer or live ops game.
• Excellent communication and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the client engineering team and take over from the original developers.
• Own the architecture and SDK/platform integration.
• Plan and estimate each update with the producer.
• Set up the pipeline, tooling and telemetry.
• Oversee backend-facing features such as async multiplayer.
• Code review and mentoring.
