Job summary

Airswift is recruiting a Lead Technical Safety Engineer in Spain for a 9-month renewable role based in Madrid. The role focuses on process safety, hazard analysis, regulatory compliance, and operational readiness across FEED, detailed engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and start-up of major projects in oil & gas, petrochemicals, LNG and power.

You will review PFDs, P&IDs and SOPs, lead critical risk assessments (HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA, QRA, FMEA, Bow-tie), ensure ISO 45001/14001

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
20+ years across EPC phases: FEED, detailed engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, start-up.
Experience on EPC and PMC phases of major capital projects.
Experience with multi-licensor units in oil & gas, petrochemicals, LNG, power, mining, heavy industry or large infrastructure.
Background in design, engineering, commissioning, start-up and handover in high-hazard environments.

Responsibilities

Lead process safety, hazard analysis, regulatory compliance and operational readiness.
Review engineering documentation including PFDs and P&IDs and SOPs.
Mentor and guide teams through handover and project delivery.
Ensure ISO 45001/ISO 14001 and applicable regulations are met.
