Job summary

Airswift leads a major industrial project in Madrid, Spain, seeking a Lead Automation Engineer to oversee instrumentation, control and telecom systems across EPC phases. You will support safe project execution, technical integrity and commissioning readiness with broad exposure to FEED, detailed engineering, procurement and start-up activities.

The role requires a Bachelor in Instrumentation and Control Engineering and extensive EPC/O&G experience (12+ years), including design review, hazard

Qualifications

Bachelor degree in Instrumentation and Control Engineering or equivalent.
12+ years across EPC phases (FEED to start-up) in oil & gas.
Experience with P&IDs, data sheets, and instrument indexes.

Responsibilities

Lead instrumentation, control and telecom engineering for large industrial projects.
Review and approve engineering deliverables (P&IDs, data sheets, loop diagrams).
Manage technical compliance, quality, timelines and budgets.
Monitor EPC contractor performance and ensure scope adherence.
Lead hazard and risk assessments (HAZID/HAZOP/LOPA/BAU).
Coordinate design reviews with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
