Job summary
GE Vernova seeks a Lead Logistics Specialist based in Bilbao, Spain, to manage project logistics from bidding to execution. You will work with procurement, suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to deliver safe, compliant, and cost-effective transportation for domestic and international projects.
You will coordinate international shipments, optimize transport modes, and ensure timely customs clearance, working across regional teams to meet project requirements and budgets.
Qualifications
- Bachelor or Master in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
- Extensive hands-on experience in Project Logistics.
- Strong knowledge of road, ocean, air freight, and multimodal transport.
- Experience with Incoterms, customs processes, and logistics contracts.
- Experience with ERP/SAP and freight contracting.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain transportation plans for assigned projects.
- Coordinate with procurement, suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to ensure on-time execution.
- Coordinate international shipments and customs activities for timely arrival and clearance.
- Monitor freight forwarder performance and drive corrective actions.
- Identify opportunities to improve logistics efficiency and reduce costs.
