Descripción del empleo

As Lead Instructional Designer and Trainer, you will be accountable for developing and delivering product technical training programs to our sales and pre-sales teams. The role is split into 50% instructional design and 50% training.

The ideal candidate will have a strong SITA product technical background, excellent communication skills, and a passion for educating others about SITA’s products and solutions. You will work closely with product managers, solution specialists, solution designers, solution engineers, sales, and relevant product teams to ensure that training materials are up to date and tailored to the audience's needs.

Reporting to the Head of Portfolio Training, you will be a part of the SITA Strategy & Growth Enablement, Portfolio Training team, responsible for designing training programs to enable our Sales Account Managers, Business Development Managers, Solution Designers, and Solution Engineers to position, sell, and design SITA’s Passenger Processing, Operations at Airports, and Baggage solutions to our customers.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  1. Design and develop a structured training curriculum tailored for sales and pre-sales teams, covering product knowledge, solution selling techniques, and competitive differentiation.
  2. Conduct training needs assessments to identify knowledge gaps and prioritize training topics.
  3. Develop high-quality training materials, including presentations, product guides, case studies, interactive eLearning modules, and job aids.
  4. Collaborate with product managers, solution architects, and subject matter experts to gather and synthesize technical product information.
  5. Deliver engaging and interactive training sessions through various formats, including virtual instructor-led sessions, in-person workshops, and webinars.
  6. Facilitate hands-on product demonstrations and role-playing exercises to reinforce learning.
  7. Monitor and assess participant engagement and knowledge retention during training sessions.
  8. Develop assessments and certification programs to validate learning outcomes.
  9. Gather feedback from participants to continuously improve training content and delivery methods.
  10. Stay updated with the latest product developments, technical updates, and industry trends, sales enablement, and training methodologies to ensure accurate training content.
  11. Provide ongoing support to the sales team with technical expertise during customer interactions, product demonstrations, and competitive positioning.
  12. Use surveys, assessments, and feedback to measure the effectiveness of training programs and make adjustments to improve learning outcomes.
  13. Work closely with the product development, commercial and sales excellence team, and marketing teams to align training content with the product roadmap and sales strategy.

EXPERIENCE

  1. 5-8 years in instructional design, technical training, or enterprise content management, ideally in tech, aviation, or enterprise solutions.
  2. Proven ability to develop and deliver engaging training for complex products, tailored to sales and pre-sales teams.
  3. Strong knowledge of instructional design, adult learning principles, and blended learning approaches.
  4. Experience translating technical concepts into clear, compelling learning materials.
  5. Skilled in facilitation, coaching, and delivering both virtual and in-person training.
  6. Ability to assess training needs and build impactful learning solutions.
  7. Strong collaboration skills, working across product, sales, and marketing teams.
  8. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  9. Excellent presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage and motivate learners.
  10. Exceptional writing and content creation skills, with attention to detail and clarity.

NICE-TO-HAVE

  1. Experience in aviation, travel technology, or SaaS industries.
  2. Instructional design or training certifications (e.g., CPTD, CTT+).
  3. Familiarity with SITA products or similar technology platforms.
  4. Proficient in e-learning tools, LMS platforms, and content development.
