haddock is seeking an engineer to build a permanent Product Reliability Engineering team, and you would be the first hire. You’ll lead two engineers, spend about 75% of your time coding, and build AI-driven systems to shrink inflow and fix issues faster.

Your mandate is to create solutions, automations, and processes that improve product reliability. You’ll own triage, root‑cause analysis, internal tooling for data correctness, and the metrics you report; this role directly impacts real

• 5+ years of engineering experience in a SaaS startup or scale‑up.
• Owned a bug backlog for your squad or the engineering team.
• Debug code you didn’t write quickly.
• Think in systems and processes, not only individual tickets.
• Mentored or led at least 2 engineers.
• AI-native way of working; use AI daily with good judgement.
• Fluent in Spanish and comfortable in English.

Responsabilidades

• Triage, reproduce, diagnose and resolve escalations from our Customer Experience team.
• Reduce root causes by addressing this class of ticket and making it go away.
• Build internal tooling for data correctness and bulk fixes.
• Own metrics and the weekly report, including bugs and which squad shipped them.
• Manage two engineers, their onboarding and growth, plus a rotating product engineer.
