Job summary
HITACHI ENERGY SPAIN, S.A.U. is seeking a Power Electronics Engineering Team Leader in Madrid.
You will lead a team of engineers delivering Grid Integration and Power Electronics projects, combining technical excellence with people leadership and a strong focus on safety and quality. You will balance product delivery with team development, traveling up to 10% annually and coordinating with global centers of competence in Europe.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 6 years of experience leading a team in control engineering or related roles.
- Experience in the power, utilities, grid integration, substation, or FACTS environments.
- Fluency in English and Spanish.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of Power Electronics Engineers in Madrid.
- Oversee Control Application activities including commissioning work within Power Electronics Solutions.
- Balance operational delivery and people leadership (about 50/50).
- Build and onboard a high-performing, diverse team with sustainable growth.
- Develop and maintain networks with Engineering Managers across Global Centers of Competence.
