Pfizer is seeking a highly skilled Materials Scientist to lead polymer material safety assessments and qualification strategies across single-use systems, primary packaging, and polymeric components used in drug substance and sterile manufacturing.

The role involves strategic leadership, regulatory collaboration, and cross-functional teamwork to ensure compliant, safe, and scientifically defensible materials across Pfizer’s manufacturing network.

Formación

• BS/MS in Polymer/Material Science or Materials/Mechanical/Chemical Engineering or related science.
• Minimum of 6 years technical experience in the R&D, Technical Support, or supporting Pharmaceutical component materials or closely related field.
• PhD in Polymer Science, Materials Engineering or related science/engineering is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Lead material science strategy for single-use systems across biopharma and sterile drug product manufacturing and packaging.
• Provide expert guidance on material safety compliance and strategy including bioreactivity and physicochemical testing.
• Coordinate and oversee material characterization and safety testing programs for new polymers and materials used in single-use assemblies.

PhD in Polymer Science, Materials Engineering or related science/engineering (preferred)
