Qualifyze is seeking a Backend Engineering Lead to own the overall backend ecosystem, combining people leadership with ownership of backend architecture, standards, and delivery quality. The role ensures backend development and architecture are scalable and aligned with product goals.

You will lead and grow backend engineers across teams, define architecture at scale, and drive high-quality delivery. The role offers a hybrid working model, a competitive package, and up to 3 months of remote work

Formación

• Strong experience with Java stack (SpringBoot, Liquibase, etc.).
• Proven experience leading backend initiatives across multiple teams.
• Experience defining architecture and driving adoption at scale.
• Experience mentoring senior engineers and influencing technical direction.
• Solid understanding of Java and PostgreSQL performance, database modeling and risk analysis.
• Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders.

Responsabilidades

• Define and drive the backend vision across teams (architecture, design systems, tooling, standards).
• Ensure backend delivery is predictable, scalable, and high quality across teams.
• Own cross-team backend topics.
• Make and enforce key technical decisions when alignment is needed.
• Stay close to the codebase through selective PR reviews and architectural guidance.
• Guide teams on best practices (testing, performance, maintainability).
