Job Description

Job Description Summary

As a Lead, IT Daily Operations, you will be responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day technology and operations in our Spain locations. You will ensure our corporate technology services are deployed successfully, are being used effectively, and are well received by our users. You will oversee projects, be responsible for project deliverables, and own resolution of break/fix issues in your area, working closely with Server, Network, Applications, and Desktop engineering teams globally. You will assist project teams with delivering technology needs at our offices and sites. As a Daily Operations Lead, you will be on Invenergy’s IT front line, solving end-user technical challenges, providing support, and ensuring business continuity. You will mentor and coach junior team members, produce documentation for the team or end users, and occasionally work out-of-hours and be reachable outside of office hours. Travel, both in-country and occasionally out-of-country, will be required to support our projects and offices. Verbal communication skills in both Spanish and English are necessary.

Responsibilities

  • You will be based at our Madrid office, serving as the focal point for all IT Operations in Spain, driving resolution of incident and support requests in your region.
  • Periodic travel to our other location in Spain (A Coruna) and future locations as needed.
  • Manage contractors or service providers reporting to you, providing leadership for your team and others in the company.
  • Actively monitor and manage tickets in ServiceNow, with solid experience on ticketing systems.
  • Follow up with users on support cases, provide feedback, and see problems through to resolution.
  • Manage and support outages in your region, monitor critical business systems, and ensure alerting is configured.
  • Perform light application, server, and networking administration as directed.
  • Research problems, identify trends, and address IT needs strategically.
  • Oversee vendor activities, ensure issues are addressed, and communicate status to users, working closely with vendors as required.
  • Participate in Out-of-Hours work as needed.
  • Participate in the IT Change Management process.
  • Assist with delivering new construction sites as needed.
  • Develop communication channels with local leaders, understanding their key business applications and how they use them.
  • Collaborate with other teams on cross-team projects.
  • Participate in job-specific training and expand knowledge of IT best practices, procedures, products, and services.
  • Adhere to the company’s values and behaviors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • Technology certifications preferred but not required.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a lead/management role.
  • Experience working with vendors and overseeing tasks performed by others.
  • Experience with Microsoft technology stack.
  • Knowledge of Windows servers, Cisco devices, Palo Alto firewalls, circuits, and Aruba wireless devices.
