Manta Sleep - was founded in 2016, and their team specializes in creating innovative sleep accessories designed to enhance sleep quality. Their flagship products include a variety of sleep masks and sleep accessories, all engineered to provide perfect sleep conditions for their users. The company is a strong advocate for the Pro-Nap Movement, promoting the benefits of regular napping and challenging traditional corporate norms that discourage rest during work hours. Their mission centers on empowering individuals to unlock their full potential through better sleep, offering products that cater to various sleep needs and preferences.

About the Role :

We are looking to hire a mature and experienced Lead Industrial Product Designer who will be responsible for shaping the company’s product vision and leading the design team to create innovative sleep products that resonate with customers. You will work hands-on in a fast-growing e-commerce environment, balancing strategic planning with execution while managing a small but expanding team of designers and product managers.

The role requires a deep understanding of user needs, ensuring that each product launched not only meets high design standards but also drives business growth. Collaboration is key, as you will work closely with product design, marketing, and report directly to leadership to bring products to market successfully. With a global team spread across Europe and Asia, the candidate must be adaptable and capable of leading design efforts in a highly dynamic, entrepreneurial setting.

This is a Full-Time remote role.

Salary Range : 70- 100k USD annually

We are looking for a Lead Industrial Product Designer specifically with these requirements :

• Ideally, 5-10 years of experience in a Product Design role, having both hands-on and leadership experience.
• Previous experience in a smaller to mid-sized E-commerce business, with at least a $30M-$50M revenue.
• Experience designing soft products or similar (home or textile goods) is a must.
• Proven track record of building and managing small design teams.
• Ability to plan for product launches over the next 3+ years.
• Understanding of how to create products that customers love and that are feasible from the engineering side.
• Experience working closely with the product and marketing teams, and with external agencies when needed.
• Comfortable making decisions in a fast-paced environment with limited corporate infrastructure.
• Experience working with international teams across different time zones.
• Open to occasional travel, especially to Asia, for product development purposes.
• Strong communication and leadership skills, while being able to find a good balance between creative ideas and feasible solutions.

Your responsibility will include (but not limited to) :

• Develop and implement a long-term product design strategy aligned with business growth objectives.
• Be directly involved in design processes, from concept to launch, ensuring a balance of vision and execution.
• Oversee the design and launch of products that drive customer engagement and sales.
• Build, manage, and mentor a growing team of designers and product managers.
• Foster a hands-on, collaborative environment where creativity and efficiency thrive.
• Work closely with the product, marketing, and leadership team to bring products to market successfully.
• Ensure seamless coordination between design, production, engineering and marketing efforts.
• Iterate on product design based on user feedback, data, and market trends.
• Stay updated on design trends, customer preferences, and industry innovations.
• Use data-driven insights to enhance product design and user experience.
• Occasional travel to Asia - approx 3 times a year for product development and production coordination.
