APM Terminals is looking for a Structural and Mechanical Engineer for its Global Asset Management team. This role will involve key responsibilities in inspections, maintaining compliance, and project management within a global operation. Candidates should hold relevant engineering degrees and NDT certification, plus have 5 to 10 years of experience in mechanical and structural systems.

Formación

  • 5–10 years in steel fabrication, welding, mechanical/hydraulic installation, and equipment maintenance.
  • NDT certification (AWS, ISO 9712, or equivalent) is mandatory.

Responsabilidades

  • Conduct inspections and QA/QC activities on cranes and terminal equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with structural and mechanical standards during projects.
  • Manage on-site project execution and stakeholder reporting.

Conocimientos

Structural and Mechanical Engineer – Global Asset Management

Location: Spain, with consideration for Germany, Italy, France, UK, or other European countries.

Travel: Up to 50% travel required.

Languages: Spanish and English (mandatory), Portuguese (a plus).

Certification: NDT certification (mandatory).

Your Role

As a Structural and Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in our Maintenance & Repair Services and Crane Advisory Service Agreement (CASA) projects. Your responsibilities include:

  1. Conducting inspections and QA/QC activities on STS, RTG, RMG, MHC cranes, and other terminal equipment.
  2. Ensuring compliance with structural and mechanical standards during manufacturing, assembly, erection, and repair.
  3. Managing on-site project execution, stakeholder coordination, and reporting.
  4. Supporting continuous improvement in inspection and M&R processes.
  5. Working globally with a focus on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications and Skills

Education: Vocational/technical education or Bachelor’s degree in structural, mechanical, or hydraulic engineering.

Experience: 5–10 years in steel fabrication, welding, mechanical/hydraulic installation, and equipment maintenance.

Skills: Strong knowledge of structural and mechanical systems, ability to read technical drawings, proficiency in MS Office.

Languages: Spanish (mandatory), Portuguese (a plus), fluent English.

Certification: NDT certification (AWS, ISO 9712, or equivalent) is mandatory.

Travel: Willingness to travel internationally up to 50% of the time.
