Steneg in Madrid seeks a System Design Engineer to lead systems engineering for advanced electro-optical products, guiding requirements, validation, and product launch across mechanical, optical, electronic, software, and manufacturing domains.

You will own the lifecycle from definition to launch, drive V-model processes, manage requirements, perform design reviews, and coordinate with research, manufacturing, and testing teams to ensure industrial feasibility and robust performance.

Formación

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical discipline is required.
• 10–15 years in complex high-technology product development.
• Proven experience as System Architect or System Design Engineer.
• Strong multidisciplinary understanding across mechanical, electronics, optics, and software.
• Solid knowledge of Systems Engineering methodologies, including the V-model.
• Experience with requirements management tools and engineering change control.
• Professional proficiency in English.

Responsabilidades

• Own the complete systems engineering lifecycle, following the V-model from requirements definition through validation and product launch.
• Develop and maintain the overall system architecture across mechanical, optical, electronic, software, and manufacturing disciplines.
• Lead technical discussions, design reviews, and engineering decision-making to ensure robust system performance.
• Define, maintain, and manage system requirements, traceability, verification activities, and performance validation.
• Evaluate technical solutions, identify design gaps, risks, or inconsistencies, and propose corrective actions.
• Ensure system design decisions align with product requirements and industrial feasibility.
• Act as the technical reference between research, engineering, manufacturing, testing, and other stakeholders.
• Support multidisciplinary teams with strong technical guidance throughout product development.
