KD is seeking an Electro Optical Engineer to join its R&D photonics team in Madrid. You will characterize high-speed EO components, model, and design, while overseeing production with top-tier manufacturers and driving data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities include developing drivers with the Analog & Mixed Signal team, and using RF test equipment and simulations to enable high-speed optical transceivers. A strong physics/engineering background and hands-on lab skills are essential.

Formación

• MSc in Physics, Electrical engineering, Electronics, or relevant field.
• At least 2 years of experience in related fields.
• Hands-on expertise in advanced lab test equipment, accurate characterization capabilities, and data analysis.
• Basic understanding of semiconductor diodes and lasers.
• Basic understanding of optical systems.
• Solid programming capabilities.

Responsabilidades

• Characterize high-speed electro-optical components and perform modeling and design.
• Oversee production and manufacturing by top tier manufacturers.
• Use RF equipment to measure, analyze data and prepare reports for modeling and design.
• Contribute to design and optimization of next-generation EO components.
• Collaborate with Analog & Mixed Signal teams to design drivers for EO devices.
• Use simulations to optimize full link performance for high-speed operation.
