JOIN AXA PARTNERS AS MEDICAL TEAM MANAGER (INTERNATIONAL MEDICAL ASSISTANCE)

We are currently seeking a Medical Team Manager to oversee and support our international medical assistance operations — ensuring the highest standards of care for patients worldwide, while contributing to the strategic growth of our services.

YOUR MISSION Medical Team Management

  • Lead and inspire the medical team, promoting collaboration and monitoring performance.
  • Ensure 24 / 7 medical coverage, including a functional on-call rotation.
  • Oversee internal medical escorts (nurses or doctors accompanying patients during repatriation) and validate required medical equipment.
  • Take part in defining team size and resource needs.

Patient Care & Quality Assurance

  • Guarantee high-quality patient evaluation and care — aligned with top-tier healthcare systems.
  • Monitor service delivery and implement training or escalation as needed.
  • Serve as the clinical decision-maker during daily medical case reviews.
  • Act as a trusted consultant to the medical team in complex situations.

Case Management

  • Directly manage complex international medical assistance cases.
  • Determine the best medical repatriation strategy.
  • Ensure effective communication with patients, families, and traveling companions, delivering reassurance and expert advice.

Communication & Coordination

  • Serve as a bridge between medical and operational teams.
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation in our systems.
  • Foster efficient, clear communication with coordinators and agents across functions.

Governance & Improvement

  • Uphold clinical governance standards and drive continuous improvements.
  • Respond to escalations regarding medical, repatriation, or critical cases.
  • Participate in the Crisis Cell when activated.

Strategic & Service Development

  • Support AXA Partners’ strategy on digital transformation, cost efficiency, and productivity.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of innovative medical services : teleconsultations, second opinion programs, mobility health, and more.
  • Collaborate with the Medical Network Department.

Cultural & Organizational Engagement

  • Embody AXA’s culture and values in all interactions and decisions.
  • Act as a positive influencer and change agent across teams.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE

  • 10+ years clinical experience (including minimum 5 years in a critical care setting such as ITU, A&E, or Internal Medicine with critical care exposure).
  • 3+ years experience in international medical assistance .
  • Fluent in English and Spanish (C1+); French is a plus.
  • Registered and in good standing with the appropriate professional body .
  • Solid understanding of aeromedical transport protocols and disaster medicine.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing healthcare professionals.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and decision-making skills .
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools : Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work under pressure , adapt quickly, and manage cross-functional teams.
  • A results-driven mindset with a commitment to setting and maintaining high standards.
  • Willingness to embrace innovation and support strategic growth initiatives.
