Currently, OPIS is looking to expand its software development team. This is a unique opportunity to join a fast-growing team that will become an integral part of global OPIS Product Development. The team will work closely with OPIS Product Development HQ based in Gaithersburg, US. We seek candidates with a mix of solid technical skills and strong interpersonal abilities.

Your Responsibilities :

  1. Work independently on large and complex projects.
  2. Deliver value to customers, the organization, and the team with minimal supervision.
  3. Represent the team during collaboration with technical and functional partners to build data solutions that transform raw data into critical insights.
  4. Research and evaluate technology options that align with company data strategies.
  5. Manage multiple stakeholders' interests and set expectations effectively using technical expertise and critical thinking.
  6. Host presentations and create documentation that clearly explains complex concepts.
  7. Make strategic decisions based on well-reasoned tradeoffs.
  8. Embrace agile development practices daily.
  9. Commit to continuous integration, delivery, and improvement.
  10. Pursue high quality in all work.
  11. Take pride in your work and own your responsibilities.
  12. Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
  13. Have 4+ years of database development experience (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Snowflake preferred).
  14. Have experience creating data models for integrating multiple systems.
  15. Have experience developing and maintaining stored procedures.
  16. Be proficient in writing SQL queries to explore data and identify issues.
  17. Have experience with database performance monitoring and tuning.
  18. Understand data architecture and design for large-scale solutions.
  19. Have knowledge of AWS or other cloud platforms.
  20. Be familiar with programming languages such as C#, .NET, Python, PowerShell, or Power BI.
  21. Understand CI/CD pipelines for code deployment.
  22. Be fluent in English, both spoken and written, with effective communication skills.
