Amaris Consulting is seeking a Global Automation Lead to drive automation adoption across pharmaceutical plants in Spain. You will define global standards, lead cross-site automation projects, and ensure regulatory compliance while collaborating with engineering, IT, production and quality teams.

The role requires 3+ years of global automation leadership in regulated industries, strong PLC/SCADA and OT/IT skills, and C2 English, with willingness to travel worldwide.

Formación

  • Degree in Automation Engineering, Process Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Informatics, or related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience as Automation Lead for global plants in the pharmaceutical or highly regulated industrial sector.
  • Strong hands-on experience with PLC, SCADA and OT/IT integration.
  • Project management experience in automation/digital transformation.
  • Knowledge of English at C2 level; Spanish is a plus.

Responsabilidades

  • Drive the global adoption of automation solutions within the S4G (Smart Factory for the Future) and AIP (AI Program) initiatives across multiple plants.
  • Define and promote global standards, best practices, and governance for automation, ensuring alignment on how sites should work.
  • Lead and coordinate automation projects (PLC, SCADA, OT/IT integration) from concept to implementation, in collaboration with local site teams.
  • Act as the global point of contact for automation topics, supporting manufacturing sites in troubleshooting, optimization, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with pharmaceutical industry regulations and internal quality standards in all automation-related activities.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing, training, and change management to support digital transformation and smart factory deployment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (engineering, IT, production, quality) to integrate automation into broader digital and AI initiatives.
  • Manage project timelines, risks, and resources, including worldwide travel to support implementation and standardization on site.

  • Strong hands‑on experience with PLC, SCADA and OT/IT integration, as well as project management in automation/digital transformation.
  • Knowledge of English at C2 level; Spanish is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a multicultural team, travel worldwide, and adapt to a dynamic, global environment.
Nice to have:
  • Previous experience in global standardization programs, smart factory initiatives, or AI-enabled manufacturing would be a plus.
