At G+D, we are looking for a
Global Supplier Quality Engineer
within the team based in El Prat de Llobregat, Barcelona.
Responsibilities include:
- Being the escalation level towards the Head of Global Supplier Quality G+D EP.
- Contributing to the definition of acceptance and rejection baseline criteria, and translating these into technical specifications and defect catalogues when needed.
- Providing global Supplier Quality performance data, tracking corrective actions and cost recovery on a monthly basis for supplier reviews with Purchasing.
- Identifying root causes of major issues and preventing their recurrence.
- Reviewing corrective actions from major non-conformances and critical quality events with the Head of Global Supplier Quality, including lessons learned.
- Preparing monthly reviews with G+D EP manufacturing sites to track non-conformances and quality events caused by supplied materials.
- Preparing monthly reviews with Purchasing to track and implement corrective actions from supplier non-conformances and cost recovery status.
- Sustaining and improving supplier development and improvement measures.
- Initiating Hypercare Phase for new suppliers and implementing additional quality measures.
- Acting as backup for the Supplier Quality Engineer for Module materials.
Education and Experience
Required include:
- Engineering degree in Materials, Electronics, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering.
- At least 3 years of experience in production environments and international settings.
- Experience with Quality organizations and methodologies such as 8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa, FMEA.
- Analytical skills, data-driven decision-making, and a problem-solving mindset.
- Ability to work with global and multicultural teams.
- Fluent English and willingness to travel.
Nice to have:
- Experience in manufacturing smart cards and related processes.
- Knowledge of interaction with Purchasing, Operations, R&D, and Product Management.
